Wow, this was a quick year!

How did it all pass so fast, where did 2015 go? On a personal level it's been a calm year without any drama. On a professional level it's been exciting and even a bit crazy! I started collaborating with Fotografiska and Piqmo in Stockholm, which is kind of amazing. I did my first real editorial shoots and I felt like I evolved as a wedding photographer. I am not a writer so I decided to share my year with you by showing some pics...I mean I am after all a photographer. Here we go!

Dreamland

At the moment I am working like crazy and I feel like the only thing I do is sleep, eat and work. It's exhausting but great at the same time. I have worked hard to reach this point and I feel blessed. There are still a lot of things I dream of and long for but that is my fuel. This year one dream came to true, I got recognition for my art. I create because it's the one thing that confirms my existents, that makes me feel alive. I know it sounds so grand and a bit pretentious but it's true. I believe we all need to find that one thing that makes us ecstatic to be happy. Since I was a little girl I have loved stories, especially those about a dreamlike land far far away. As an adult I still go there, just in another shape...

FOTOGRAFISKA

Today is not an ordinary day for me. Today is the day that one of the best photography museums in the world, Fotografiska, starts selling one of my pictures in their art gallery online. It is a huge step towards my goal to not only be a portrait photographer but also get recognition for my art. Lisa (Sweden models)

This summer is just flying by, so many things I have done and so many things I still want to do. Between my weddings I try to find time to take portraits in the sunset. The light and colors during summer is the most beautiful I know.

Holy cow, that's me!

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a journalist who had seen my self portraits and heard that I take most of them in the woods close to where I grew up. She's making a series of reportage about people and their connections with specific places. We met up at my parents place and I spoke about why I do what I do and why I like to do it in these surroundings. I know it would run in the magazine a few weeks later but I had no idea I would get the cover! It's with mixed emotions I share it with you here. In one way I like to be private but on the other hand many of my photos are not. I do like the attention but it also makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.  Anyway I'm very happy I did this interview, it has generated so much extra love from both people I knew since before and strangers.
